- Ellyse Perry
The most dangerous weapon in the arsenal of the kangaroos, Ellyse Perry has owned last year with her blistering performances with both bat and ball. - Heather Knight
The world champions would want to repeat their success in the shortest format as well and end their losing streak in the past T20 world cup finals. England is one of the strongest teams in the tournament and their skipper would be their trump card if they are to do so. Heather Knight has been the go to person for the team in tough situations with her experience and has always found ways to lead the team past their line. The world cup winning captain would be eager to provide crucial performances with bat as well as with some accurate off break bowling to add another feather to her cap.
- Sophie Devine
The skipper of the black caps is another one to watch out for, in this Women’s T20. She is in top form with five consecutive half centuries with four of them coming in the recently concluded T20 series against the Proteas including a century in the last match of the series. She is one of the cleanest and probably the best hitter of the ball in Women’s cricket. Sophie is expected to break few records in the upcoming tournament. Sophie Devine is a vital cog in the New Zealand set up which makes them the dark horses of the tournament.
- Deepti Bhagwan Sharma
Indian women’s team would be aiming to fly high this season and win its first World Cup. Deepti Sharma would be the one providing that cutting edge to the team. She provides the right balance to the Indian team. She cashes in with match winning performances at least in any one of the departments in every match. She will raise the her bar even higher in the coming season and would be another player to watch out for.
- Shafali Verma
India has been known for its rich history in cricket. The biggest talent discovery of the past year, Shafali is the youngest player of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2020. She rose to fame by debuting as the youngest Woman to play for India in T20s and then bagging the player of the series award only in her second series. This Indian pocket dynamite is expected to set ablaze the tournament with her hard-hitting capabilities to provide swift starts and would be among the most sought out wickets of the big stage.
